Students taking the Geographic Information Systems course taught at Bangor High School by Margaret Chernosky recently completed 12 posters detailing research related to Maine’s involvement in the Civil War.
This outstanding research speaks for itself. The students researched different topics, such as Bangor’s Civil War veterans, the involvement of Corinth residents, and the 1st Maine Heavy Artillery Regiment and the 20th Maine Infantry Regiment. One poster highlights the roles played by Maine women during the war.
